error

Post by ivornovello » Sat Oct 25, 2014 4:41 am

I'm not usually all problems!!! Honest!!!
Now whatever I try to download I get "There was an error getting the URL for your download." I've tried turning off any security software, even rebooting but still get same message, and I've tried downloading various things.
Have I been a bad boy? Again? Pls help, but don't tell my mum!!

Haha! It's not a problem. I'm glad you're interested in TorrentRover, and I'm happy to figure out what's going on so I can help you out.

I think I need a bit more info from you on this one though.

What version of TR are you running?
Open TR to the main window. Press F12. What's the number at the very bottom of the Debug window?
Can you give me a search term and tell me which torrent(s) won't download for you? (I promise I won't tell your mum. hehe)

I'm using v0.22.9.39070
112343 is the number when I press F12
Yesterday I was just trying to download a few episodes of Person Of Interest new series in the TV section (we in UK won't get them on TV for many months).
Ah, interesting, I notice now it's only the isohunt ones where I get that error!!!
Does that make sense?
At least I could just avoid the isohunt sections, isohunt list come up first hence me selecting them first.

I love that show! One of my favorites.

I can confirm that something is wrong with the isohunt definitions. I'll get it fixed ASAP!

Thanks for reporting this!

I believe the problem is fixed. It was a problem with the isohunt definition.

Just click on Help -> Check for Definition Updates and then try again.

Let me know if the problem is fixed. And thanks for reporting the problem again!

Ah, you fixed it already. Yep, done as you suggest and isohunt works fine!

Now my MAIN problem is Norton (NIS) and like many Norton users we are having serious problems with shutting down our computers, taking between 2 and 20 minutes or even longer, Norton seem to have no way of fixing it. May have to go back to Avast or something else. Gone on for weeks.

Anyway, many thanks TR is a great thing!
