Do you have your Preferences set to open the last closed file automatically? If so, there is a startup process that sets the torrent Points and updates past searches. This process can take several minutes depending on the size of your file. To see if this is causing the issue, please set this option to "Ask Me" and then restart TorrentRover. When it asks you, choose to NOT open the file. See if your CPU and memory usage is high. Try a search. Check again. If nothing seems out of control, you were probably just seeing the resulting resource usage for the startup process. Once that startup process is complete, memory usage should stop growing and CPU usage should return to nearly 0.
