I paid for a one year subscription, but how does the software know I am a subscriber? How does it track this? My software still says my downloads are limited.

Did you get it worked out alright?
For those who may find this thread with the same or a similar question, TorrentRover uses unique identifiers of your computer to identify your computer to the server. When you purchase a subscription, the server stores the record of your subscription and associates that with your computer record. Every time your machine connects to the server, the server can see that you have a subscription. There is no serial number and nothing to enter. It's all automatic. Once your payment is received, TorrentRover will "just work".
