Cannot load torrentrover

I have tried to install torrent rover onto my Windows 8.1 PC every time I try to run the programme it reports "unable to retrieve connection information". I have installed net3.5 and that is OK.

Can anyone help please any assistance gratefully received.

I'm sorry you're having trouble, and I'm sorry it's taken almost 2 weeks for me to get back to you. I've been working through an email backlog and your issue got buried a bit. I'm really sorry for the delay.

The message you're seeing means that the startup service was unable to communicate with the server and establish what TorrentRover should do. Without the startup service, TorrentRover can't work properly. Please check the following:

1. You can get to in a web browser. (I assume you can since you can get to the forums, but check anyways.)
2. You can get to

The service page should look a little weird, but as long as you don't see an error, it should be working.

If both of these appear to be working, it may be on your side. In that case, please answer the following questions so I can help you further:
What version of TorrentRover are you running?
What version of Windows are you running?
